“Suwanee” by Ghost Town Jenny

ghosttownjenny_press_2Ironically, Ghost Town Jenny does not include anyone named “Jenny.” Instead they are fronted by vocalist/guitarist Kim Kylland who is probably tired of being called “Jenny.” Complete with Johan Svensson (keys) and Corey Mike (violin), The Oakland-based trio has brought their brand of indie folk to Scandinavian music festivals such as Dark Season and Iceland Airwaves, but recently they concentrated on recording their new EP, Golden Hour, which will be released on January 28th. Kylland claims that its first single “Suwanee” was written in “homesickness and wanderlust” which might explain its melancholy beauty carried by stirring strings and woeful words:
