“Anchor” by Two Cheers (Premiere)

_DSC0246_2Founded by guitarists Bryan Akcasu and Mitchell Dill, the Burbank-based Two Cheers named themselves after a book of essays on anarchism and claim to be “purveyors of reverb, chorus, and radical color schemes.” Now a quartet, the band recently finished recording their sophomore LP, Splendor, at their makeshift home studio. To be released this spring, the album continues their super buoyant vibe of late ’80s inspired jangle pop over post-punk vocals (but sans synthwave elements). Here’s its first leaked single “Anchor”:

“I have an anchor.”
