“Oh My Heart” by Night Riots (Acoustic)

Night_Riots_JW_177 (3)Night Riots decided to record an acoustic version of the opening track, “Oh My Heart,” from their recently released EP Howl (Sumerian Records). By exchanging glitchy choral vocals and digital effects for an accordion and banjo, the band allowed the song to breathe and expose its naturally upbeat, melodic core. And of course, frontman Travis Hawley’s riveting voice does not subside and the result is a very crisp delivery.

    Had the pleasure of hearing them live in Tampa last weekend. I love when bands strip their songs down to their core, and really show their talents. Beautiful.
